“How will I know it’s working? Am I just going all of a sudden disgusted with cigarettes?”


Most people will walk out of that first session completely a non-smoker.

Now obviously, it’s not a magic wand, and it does take a bit of conscious commitment from you, but if you’re really wanting to become a non-smoker, then it will really help you do that.

Also, that second session, just really locks in that change and makes it permanent.


 

“I’m a pretty hardcore smoker. How many sessions will I need?”


No matter if you only smoke a few cigarettes a day, or if you smoke two packs, we find that most people can quit smoking with hypnosis in just 2 sessions.

Occasionally, there is a very small percentage that need a couple of more sessions, and we are there for them as well.

If you’ve seen those ads where the hypnotist claims, “One session, 97% success rate!” you know that that’s just a bunch of hype.

Surely, you’re smart enough to realize that just one session is not enough to effect lasting change in your behavior.


 

“How long are the sessions? How far apart do you do them?”


Each session is about an hour long, the second is usually a little shorter.

Usually, we like to space out the sessions a week apart, but it’s not a big deal if you have to go out of town on business or vacation and miss a week or so.

“Are these group sessions or 1-on-1 sessions?”


Unfortunately, there are a lot of these con artists going around and doing these cheap group sessions and trying to pitch worthless supplements, and they’re basically useless.

Yes, a few people might stop, but usually what happens is that everyone is sitting in a hotel room peeking around to see if everyone else is hypnotized or not!

So all of our centers only do 1-on-1 sessions, with qualified, pre-screened hypnotherapists. We require them to be certified in good standing with the National Guild of Hypnotists.

 


 

“Why can’t I just quit smoking with one of these hypnosis audio programs that lots of people sell online?”


You could. But keep in mind that most of these programs are developed by hypnotists that are first and foremost businessmen, not therapists.

Most audio programs have extremely low success rates. Also, just ask yourself, would you listen to a CD program to help cure a serious psychological problem like OCD or depression?

“Will I need any reinforcement sessions? What about a CD for that?”


We can give you a reinforcement CD if you wish. But again, since our program is designed to take care of the problem, we find that most people don’t need the CD.

In terms of reinforcement sessions, we recommend at least one reinforcement session 3-6 months down the road. But that is completely optional, and not required for the program.

“Do you offer any type of money-back guarantee?”


Actually, we do. The way our guarantee works is that, you know, obviously, we can’t guarantee YOUR behavior, and you wouldn’t go to a doctor and ask for your money back.

Anyone who says they have a 95-98% success rate is just lying to you.

In terms of success rates, we would say almost 80-90% of people walk out of our office a non-smoker after that first session.

In addition, we’ve been doing long term follow-up studies with our clients and at the 6 month mark, it’s right around 65-70%, so it IS very successful. Those are realistic good success rates, not hype.

“How will know I was hypnotized?”


Like we’ve mentioned elsewhere on this site, hypnosis is not some sort of crazy state.

• You hear everything that goes on around you
• You remember everything that was said to you.
• It’s basically just a state of physical relaxation and focused mental attention.

The thing is, hypnosis is different for every person, every time you do it.

So it’s not like “I have to get to X level of relaxation” in order to be hypnotized.

If you can follow simple instructions, like close your eyes and take a deep breath, you’ll be just fine.

And trust me, you’ll know afterwards. You’ll feel probably pretty relaxed when you get up from the chair.

 


 

“My only concern is that I’m not sure I’m able to be hypnotized.”


Like we’ve explained elsewhere, EVERYONE CAN be hypnotized…so long as they don’t have any fears about it and they’re willing to be hypnotized.

“When I quit smoking before, I gained a lot of weight, and I don’t want that again.”


Many people are concerned about that. So what we do is we actually pre-empt that.

The reason most people gain weight when they quit cold turkey, is because they don’t have anything to replace it with.

But we give you suggestions for an alternative behavior to replace it with, giving you a new “ritual” to do.

For example, anytime you find yourself in a situtation where you previously would have smoked, you’ll simply take 3 deep breaths, drink a big glass of water, and fire off what’s called a hypnotic anchor.

An hypnotic anchor is the following: you know how when you hear a song on the radio and It reminds you of a certain time?  The same thing is true in hypnosis.

So what we do is have you imagine that feeling of control as a non-smoker while in hypnosis, and press your first finger and thumb together.

Then, when you do that in the future, all those suggestions then re-inforce themselves, keeping you on track, without turning to food.
